Cleaning the Main Gas Line (MGL)
_____________________________________
The efficient operation of the pipelines is essential. Any narrowing of the bore can significantly affect the flow capacity of the pipeline, as well as the energy consumption to maintain the design flow rate. Pipeline cleaning helps maintain peak performance, extends life, increases system reliability, reduces associated risks and ultimately improves the profitability of the pipeline operator.
During operation, deposits appear in pipelines, consisting of sand, salts, paraffin, asphaltenes and resins, corrosion products, hydrates, pyrophors and emulsions, which can lead to a narrowing of the bore diameter, an increase in operating pressure and provoke accelerated corrosion.
Our firm provides a wide range of specialized pipeline cleaning methods designed to address all of the above complications.
Directions of activity
· Standard cleaning by pistons;
· Cleaning by pistons of increasing diameter;
· Cleaning with mechanical scrapers;
· Cleaning from mechanical impurities with scrapers in combination with gel pistons;
· Removal of salt deposits;
· Removal of paraffin deposits;
· Removal of pyrophoric deposits and hydrates;
· Removal of corrosion products;
· Cleaning before in-line diagnostics;
· Cleaning after completion of construction;
· Cleaning when changing the purpose of the pipeline;
· Cleaning to decommission the pipeline.
The basic principle during cleaning is not to clog the pipeline with deposits.
